Thank goodness Ms. Blakey is no longer with the FAA. Her tenure is a prime example why future presidents should appoint professionals rather than party "groupies" to important positions in the government. Future administrators should have at least some leadership skills and knowledge of aviation before being appointed to such an important position.

If only this spoof could be true, (sigh) this witch and all her little evil monkeys have screwed up my career plans and now she gets to move on to greener pastures while I and others like myself are left with bitter memories. ATC was my life, I started flying as a teenager, got ratings and experience enough to land a job that turned into a dream, only to have it become a nightmare.
Reading this blog has turned too painful, so the time has come to move on. I will not post here anymore, I leave best wishes to my fellow controllers and say goodbye and good luck. Good job JTB, thanks for the ride.

HELLO !!!! Sturgell is not going to be any better than Marion.
He is just another Bush Hemroid for NATCA. He will do what he is told. There will be no clear original thoughts coming from his pie hole.

The largest tumor of the ass-cancer has departed the fix. Yippee!

That was a great clip to watch and it pleases me to no end to think it will be playing in controllers' breaks rooms and homes across the country. The havoc Marion has bestowed will take years to correct. I noticed at the end though the sudden appearence of a big cloud of smoke, this scared the heck out of me knowing the dead witches sister was coming, I began to anticipate that wicked cackle of laughter. I am afraid the administrater in waiting is laughing that way now.

I would love to be a fly on the wall when management pukes privately discuss things like this blog. The internet is a glorious thing! The fact that employees can tell their stories of FAA incompetence and abuse, and these stories can be transmitted and recieved instantly, must be very troubling to the FAA. Keep up the great work. We might be making a difference, I hope.

Blakey may be gone, but we have no Dorothy to wear the Ruby Slippers that will take us back to where we need to be.

Today at Focus FAA from Mr. Lavey:
From my front-row perspective over the years, I think history will be kind to Marion. Like her or not, agree with her or not, she took on some very tough issues that needed to be dealt with and didn’t kick them down the road for her successors to handle. She opted to be effective, rather than popular. I admire her for that. I also admire her for being able to take a serious hit and keep on trucking. She kept her eye on the ball and never flinched, even when these hits came from unexpected quarters — “friendly fire,” if you will — reminding us all again, as Harry Truman once said, if you want a friend in Washington, go buy a dog.
Gerald E. Lavey
Deputy Assistant Administrator for Corporate Communications
I don't even know where to start. Congressmen were calling for the Blaksters resignation, yet Mr. Lavey thinks that history will be kind to her. The only thing she accomplished effectively was the decimation of the Federal Aviation Administration. I do have one question though. Mr. Lavey quotes President Truman by stating "If you want a friend in Washington, go buy a [lap] dog." Does this mean that Mr. Lavey's heading off to AIA also?

If they put another stupid PC Vagina in charge who has no aviation background or clue about ATC I will be taking Greyhound from now on.

To " the real faa problem,'
Did it ever occur to you, That if it wasn't for morons like you..we wouldn't need affirmative action programs. Where I work we have plenty of incompetent sups (unfortunately controllers too), they come in all colors and sexes. Did I say moron already.

Reading anything Gravy........I mean Lavey writes is a complete waste of time. He's a career FAA HQ hack and a paid mouth piece reading it directly off of the script he's given by the Bush-Sturgell FAA.

Retired_Yea, I can kind of understand how this can be painful but not why you feel the need to move on.
Our controller brothers and sisters are truly the ones in pain; you and I are not subject to their (manglement's) behavior.
I want things to change for the better for them and wish to keep up with how things are going for them.
The profession that I loved is gone and that is a shame, I have fervent hope that it can come back is some small way for those left and the new ones.

I too would like to believe the Wicked Witch is dead. But let's not forget our Land of Oz history. Dorothy does kill the Wicked Witch of the East. However, she must also contend with the Wicked Witch of the West. Only after many trials and much help from her friends does she finally rid the Land of Oz from all evil. So we still have a long way to go before we get to pour water on the FAA and finally melt away all the evil ones. I'LL GET YOU MY PRETTY AND YOUR LITTLE DOG TOO. Sorry wicked FAA but Dorothy does win in the end.
