I Love A Parade
My pal Johnny T was in one this weekend with a few names you might recognize...and of course, being the type of person that he is (and he would have made a great controller,) he followed up with a little correspondence...
Honorable Senator Charles E. (Chuck) Schumer (D-NY)
United States Senator, United States Senate

Washington, D.C. 20510-3201 USA
VIA FAX: 1-914-734-1673, “mike@schumer.senate.gov”, and U.S. MAIL
Mr. Mike Morey, Hudson Valley Regional Director
Honorable Senator Charles E. (Chuck) Schumer (D-NY), United States Senator
One Park Place, Suite 100

Re: Pearl River St. Patrick’s Day Parade/“Quiet Rockland”/The FAA And “Bobby” Sturgell
Dear Senator Schumer, and Mike Morey:
It was my pleasure to have a chance, albeit briefly during the march down Central Avenue, to speak with you at the Pearl River NY St. Patrick’s Day Parade today. Thank you for being there, and for marching.
Senator Schumer, you may recall that we are fellow college alums. From Manhattan and Collegiate School, I am Harvard Class of 1984, and even the Harvard Magazine class notes picked up on the fact that we two fellow alums both called for Marion Blakey’s exit as FAA Administrator a few months ago. I was honored to be mentioned in the class notes in the same paragraph as you.
I am happy to hear that my faxed correspondence about the FAA makes it through to you, since sometimes citizen-constituents don’t know, and/or we have a hard time preserving letter-format when sending text through Congressional e-mail web-templates. I do realize and respect what a massive workload and set of responsibilities you have. Any attention you continue to give to Rockland, especially our aero-plight, is very much appreciated. I am enclosing an updated page of Internet web-site links relating to the FAA matter, for your review. You will therein see that a number of us have been pretty busy lately, just as we know you have. We have created some new blogs that may prove to be important in the future.
As I mentioned to you at today’s parade, but I can now say it a bit more artfully - Quiet Rockland is currently focused on helping to effect the lawful removal of “Bobby” Sturgell from his current position as acting Administrator of the FAA. True, your colleagues Senator Lautenberg and Senator Menendez put a “Hold” on Mr. Sturgell’s confirmation, and to date they have kept the vote on his confirmation from reaching the Senate Floor. But particularly given what you, I, and others have recently collectively unearthed and re-communicated to the press and others about Sturgell, his background, the lack of flight school security screening, the lack of aircraft repair facility screening, the ill-conceived outsourcing of aircraft repair, and now the cracked Southwest planes and FAA’s concealment of and lying about it – well, Quiet Rockland’s position is that “Bobby” Sturgell must be ejected from office now. The safety of the American public cannot afford to wait. And, I personally simply cannot watch him contemptuously lie to United States Senators or others again, like he did on February 8, 2008 while under oath before the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee. As you likely also know, Quiet Rockland has called for Sturgell’s indictment for perjury and contempt of Congress, as well as Sturgell’s removal from office. We hope that the two events go hand-in-hand.
I am very glad to know that your good offices and our grassroots movement are (again) pursuing a similar and common quest. I have also been putting a lot of proverbial heat on Southwest Airlines over the past few days: (A) because they deserve it; (B) because the future safety of the American public depends upon it; and (C) if there is enough pressure put on Southwest, the airline will in all likelihood (further) roll-over on the FAA and hopefully on “Bobby” Sturgell himself. My instinct is that the Southwest debacle has Sturgell’s fingerprints all over it – now we just have to dust for the prints.
You both know this already, I believe, but I will say it again. Anything we here at Quiet Rockland can do in support of the cause of FAA regime-change and clean-up, please just ask and enlist us, and we will do it. The FAA’s ill-conceived “NY/NJ/PHL Airspace Redesign”, so threatening to us Rocklanders, turns out to be just one small bit of fruit of the large proverbial poisonous tree of the FAA. Sturgell and his FAA hurt and threaten millions of innocent and unsuspecting people across the country, not just us New Yorkers. Let’s continue to do everything lawfully possible to send Bobby Sturgell packing back to DelMarVa, where hopefully he will be less of a threat to far fewer people. (Of course, the indictment of Mr. Sturgell could delay that a bit).
I am sure you are aware that one of Sturgell’s ostensible successors, FAA COO Hank Krakowski, was already publicly quoted last year as nay-saying the Redesign as only a “Band-Aid” solution to air congestion. I therefore have reason to believe that Mr. Krakowski would be inclined to scrap the Redesign and cut the FAA’s US$53.5 million-plus losses on it. I do know that Mr. Krakowski could run the FAA better and more safely than Bobby Sturgell. Then again, a chicken-salad sandwich could run the FAA better and more safely than Bobby Sturgell.
We are here for you. God Bless you, and Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
Respectfully, your friend,
John J. Tormey III, Esq.

My guess is that they will eventually confirm the Chicken sald sandwich to be the FAA administrator for 5 yrs. I hope I am wrong.

Quiet Rockland’s position is that “Bobby” Sturgell must be ejected from office now.
Ejected LOL!!! Now tell us what you really mean!!
My gut tells me they will push him through before Nov08 and lock down some control for the:
Big business/Anti-union/Pathetic/Unqualified/CubicleRat/Desk jockey/Non-aviation background/Sycophant/Boot kisser/Backstabber/Butt Kisser/Bean Counter/Hold it in their mouth/Goose down Knee-Pad wearing/Sheet cake eating...
group of loser management staff they have driving the FAA into the ground/abyss now. I hope I am wrong.

But where are the high priced hookers...anyone???

The heat is on people. Failed Aviation Administration Management is on the ropes. It's time for the KO punch
Democrat in Congress: "FAA needs to clean house from top to bottom"
"Complacency has likely set in to the highest levels of FAA management," the Minnesota Democrat said in a Capitol Hill news conference. "I think we have seen the pendulum swing away from vigorous enforcement of compliance toward a carrier-favorable, cozy relationship with the airlines."
Well done by Congressman James Oberstar who is chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

"[R]adarwillie", first: (1) be respectful enough to say and spell my name correctly; and (2) have the personal courage to identify yourself by your REAL name before you ever address me like that, just as I have the courage to identify myself by real name, every time I post. And "by the way", "radarwillie", I promise you, not just from your way-off hunch and way-off numerical estimation, but also from your spelling and your punctuation, that you got the short end of the stick in perhaps every respect. The fact that you apparently ruminate on a man's size without knowing him, raises its own concerns, and is truly its own definition of "pathetic". That established, explain to me the problem, "radarwillie" - but in real English, next time. And oh yeah, one last thing. Why don't you prove to me on paper that you don't work in FAA middle-management? Because, as far as I am concerned, you just posted some useless negative crap that I would expect to hear out of their FOIA unit - cloaked in anonymity just like you are.

Well said!

Radarwillie..Are you a tall guy wondering why your biggest accomplishment is being able to see over the grocery isles?

Stupes are showing up here and the FAA Follies more and more since the Krakowski letter to the troops sank their battleships. It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

Righteous! - atcso, just, and max. Why do I even bother? I should be spending more time on Quiet Rockland's next two (2) press releases. Who knew that today's NY events would steal our fire?
There is no doubt that Southwest enlisted its wanna-geeks to blog - please see:

CARR and TORMEY. Now that's a winning ticket I would vote for any day.

What I can "imagine" "radarwillie", is that you are a very sick and unfortunate individual who is still too afraid, dumb-post after dumb-post, to identify himself by his real actual name, or by his location. Is the problem that you are still living at home with your mom? It's OK. I'll actually get you help if you come out and identify yourself, because you need it.

John,
Don't waste your time with "Radar Willie." He is a little wind sock from Little Rock. Assuming for sake of argument he is a he, Radar Willie is either a management tool or a tool wanna-be. I've got chunks of Radar Willie in my stool.
If you ignore him he will go away. I could remove his stupidity, but I enjoy seeing his opinions because frankly the longer he talks the shorter his dick gets.
Very best,
John
